Better prompts.Fewer reruns.
BeforePrompt checks what you've written, points out what's missing, and helps you fix it before ChatGPT or Claude takes a guess. It also gives you a working library of 1,000+ prompts when a blank page is the real problem.
Local checks run in your browser. Cloud rewrites happen only when you ask.
Write a launch email for our new reporting feature. It's for operations managers who are tired of building weekly updates by hand.
How it works
One useful nudge, right when you need it.
Prompting shouldn't feel like learning another programming language. BeforePrompt keeps the advice small, specific, and attached to the work in front of you.
Write where you already work
BeforePrompt sits beside the prompt box in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Copilot. There is no separate editor to babysit.
Catch the weak spots
A local check looks for unclear instructions, missing context, contradictions, and sensitive details before anything is sent.
Choose the fix you need
Improve, shorten, structure, clarify, or ask for the missing questions. You decide when the cloud model is used.
See the improvement happen
Watch a rough prompt become ready to run.
Start with the kind of short request people write every day. BeforePrompt spots the missing context, shows what needs attention, and turns it into a prompt you can inspect before you use it.
Watching the prompt box locally. Nothing is sent or rewritten yet.
Works where the prompt lives
Four AI workspaces today. More are already on the board.
The current extension runs inside ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. Perplexity, DeepSeek, and Le Chat are planned next; roadmap labels are not promises of a release date.

See what's improving—not just what's being used.
The dashboard keeps score trends, rewrite history, privacy choices, team policies, and local-tool connections in one place. It is meant to answer a practical question: are your prompts getting clearer over time?
- Prompt-quality trends and coaching signals
- History stays off until you opt in
- Organization templates and DLP guardrails
- Local LLM and local agent connections
The prompt library
Start from work that already has a shape.
This is not a folder of “Task 1” templates. Every prompt has a job, an expert perspective, named inputs, a clear output contract, and honest limitations. Browse 26 domains from marketing and HR to engineering, legal, education, and operations.

For teams
Give people better prompts without turning every draft into a compliance meeting.
Publish approved templates, set keyword guardrails, and see aggregate coaching signals. Raw prompt text is not part of team analytics by default.
Faster starts
Share approved prompts for recurring work.
Clear guardrails
Catch risky terms in the extension and on the server.
Useful coaching
Track skill signals without reading everyone’s prompts.
Questions
Good to know before you install.
The short version: it is fast, it is private by default, and it works where you already write. The details are on the right.
Is BeforePrompt free to use?
Yes. During the current beta you can check and improve your prompts and browse the full prompt library at no cost. Paid plans come later — for now the whole library is open.
Which AI tools does BeforePrompt work with?
It runs right inside the prompt box on ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Microsoft Copilot. There is no separate app to switch to — the check appears where you already type.
Do you send my prompts to a server?
The quality check runs locally in your browser, so your draft never leaves your machine to be scored. A cloud model is only used when you explicitly click a rewrite action like Improve or Shorten.
What actually is the prompt library?
It is 1,000+ prompts across 26 work domains — marketing, HR, engineering, legal, education, operations and more. Each one carries an expert role, named inputs, and a clear description of what it produces, so you start from something with a shape instead of a blank box.
Do I need an account?
You sign in once on the dashboard, which syncs a secure token to the extension. After that the checks and library work in the background while you write.
